We are looking for a dynamic IT Vendor Service Manager to oversee and optimize our technology vendor partnerships, enhancing operational efficiency, and maximizing the value derived from vendor engagements.
In this newly created role, you will report to the Manager, Infrastructure Planning. As the IT Vendor Service Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of our transition to technologies like SaaS and IaaS, acting as the bridge between our organization and top-tier vendors, maximizing value, improving service delivery, and driving cost efficiencies. This is an exciting opportunity to lead in shaping our vendor strategy, implementing a robust management framework, and ensuring seamless, high-quality technology services.
What You’ll Do:
- Be the architect of our information technology vendor management framework, guiding the shift from perpetual licenses to subscription-based solutions
- Lead strategic partnerships with vendors and internal stakeholders, ensuring our tech services align perfectly with our business objectives
- Own the vendor lifecycle—from vendor selection and contract negotiations to onboarding, performance evaluation, and renewals
- Drive cost savings and performance by actively managing vendor agreements, identifying improvements, and optimizing service delivery
- Stay ahead of the game by anticipating contract renewals and ensuring compliance with organizational policies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Legal, Procurement, Finance, IT) to make sure every contract includes the right protections and controls
- Support innovation by contributing to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), supplier evaluations, and business cases for new technology services
- Make an impact with your insights on service risks and compliance, working to safeguard our operations and enhance our IT ecosystem.
What You’ll Bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in IT vendor service management, with a strong focus on subscription-based models like SaaS and IaaS.
- A sharp business mind, with expertise in managing IT service agreements, budgets, and cost controls.
- Top-notch negotiation skills to get the best out of our vendor contracts while balancing quality and cost-efficiency.
- Strong collaboration abilities—you’ll be working closely with multiple teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management, always staying one step ahead in vendor performance and compliance.
- Hands-on knowledge of network systems, cloud solutions, and vendor management software to keep our operations running smoothly.
SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:
As a condition of employment at E-Comm, the required Police Security Clearance applicable to the position must be acquired and maintained. This is a process carried out by our law enforcement partner agencies, facilitated by E-Comm. The minimum residency in Canada to qualify for this position, as established by our law enforcement partner agencies, is 5 years.
To qualify for this process, a candidate may be either a Canadian Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizen. We regret any candidates under Student, Visitor, or Work Visas are not eligible for consideration.

Vaccination Policy: E-Comm 911 has a vaccination policy that is currently suspended. However, should the policy be reinstated, it will be a requirement for all current and future employees.
