IT Business Systems Administrator

We are seeking a dynamic and talented IT Business Systems Administrator to join our Fire Applications team. In this role, you will oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of IT systems and enterprise business applications. You will conduct thorough analyses of business requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and develop workflows and project plans.

 

You will work closely with key stakeholders—including management, IT teams, and external vendors—to identify business needs, analyze data to uncover opportunities for improvement, and lead design workshops to develop effective solutions. You will play a key role in system configuration, applications development, and providing ongoing technical support to ensure optimal system performance.

 

With a focus on relationship management, you will collaborate across multiple teams, manage interactions with various stakeholders, and troubleshoot complex issues simultaneously. Exceptional communication skills and a service-oriented approach are essential. We are looking for someone with an analytical mindset who can define solutions, implement process improvements, and enhance efficiency and effectiveness across E-Comm’s systems and operations.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or a related field with 5-7 years of experience related to business and system analysis an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in technology services as a systems analyst, data, business and process analyst or similar role.
  • Certification in business analysis, statistics, data analytics, and / or reporting such as CBIP or CBAP  will be considered a definite asset. 
  • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute will be considered a definite asset.
  • Certification in ITIL or similar service delivery framework is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Public Safety Systems, including Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and Records Management Systems is an asset.
  • Required Police Security Clearance applicable to the position must be acquired and maintained

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

As a condition of employment at E-Comm, the required Police Security Clearance applicable to the position must be acquired and maintained. This is a process carried out by our law enforcement partner agencies, facilitated by E-Comm.  The minimum residency in Canada to qualify for this position, as established by our law enforcement partner agencies, is 5 years.

 

To qualify for this process, a candidate may be either a Canadian Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizen. We regret any candidates under Student, Visitor, or Work Visas are not eligible for consideration.

Vaccination Policy: E-Comm 911 has a vaccination policy that is currently suspended. However, should the policy be reinstated, it will be a requirement for all current and future employees.

  • Wage/Salary: PG29: $54.02 - $63.90 hourly / $112,361.60- $132,912.00 (2025 rates)
