Are you a cybersecurity professional passionate about protecting critical infrastructure and supporting public safety services? E-Comm is looking for a Security Specialist with a focus on Identity & Access Management (IAM), Active Directory, and Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) to join our IT Security team.

 

Reporting directly the Manager, Security, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and security of E-Comm’s systems through expert management of Identity and Access Management, Privileged Access Management and related security functions. This includes assessing risks, securing infrastructure and applications, managing access controls and authentication systems (e.g., Active Directory, IGA), monitoring threats using SIEM tools, and coordinating incident response.

 

This role works cross-functionally to embed security best practices across system design, deployment, and operations while ensuring compliance with recognized security frameworks and standards.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

 

  • Lead and support IAM and Privileged Access Management (PAM) activities, ensuring access rights are appropriate, controlled, and compliant with internal policies and industry standards
  • Design and maintain secure authentication and authorization systems using Active Directory, IGA, and PAM solutions
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement role-based access controls (RBAC), enforce least-privilege principles, and manage admin entitlements
  • Conduct security risk assessments and reviews for new and existing systems, platforms, and custom applications
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation and patching with infrastructure teams
  • Deploy and manage security tools, including Delinea, Saviynt, Sailpoint
  • Support incident detection, investigation, and response efforts including forensic documentation and reporting
  • Participate in tabletop exercises and Business Continuity Planning activities
  • Prepare and present security documentation, risk assessments, and technical reports
  • Ensure secure system configurations and monitor compliance with frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001/2, COBIT, and ITSG-33

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

 

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field—or a combination of equivalent education and experience
  • 4–6 years of progressive experience in Information Security, with demonstrated expertise in IAM and PAM
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory, IGA platforms, Privileged Access tools and SSO
  • Strong understanding of identity lifecycle management, privileged session monitoring, and access request workflows
  • Experience with cloud security technologies such as Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, and Zero Trust frameworks
  • Working knowledge of compliance and security standards (NIST, ISO, COBIT)
  • Technical expertise with SIEM tools, endpoint protection, DLP, and vulnerability scanners
  • CISSP or equivalent security certification (preferred)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

 

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

As a condition of employment at E-Comm, the required Police Security Clearance applicable to the position must be acquired and maintained. This is a process carried out by our law enforcement partner agencies, facilitated by E-Comm.  The minimum residency in Canada to qualify for this position, as established by our law enforcement partner agencies, is 5 years.

Vaccination Policy: E-Comm 911 has a vaccination policy that is currently suspended. However, should the policy be reinstated, it will be a requirement for all current and future employees.
