Project Manager – Technology

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technology Project Manager to join our growing team and lead a diverse portfolio of technology initiatives. In this role, you will oversee projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. You will bring strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to manage complex technology projects in fast-paced environments.

 

Reporting to the Manager, Technology Services PMO, you will be accountable for driving the successful execution of technology projects that support both business and operational needs. This includes major enterprise application implementations (such as ServiceNow), Microsoft ecosystem projects (including SharePoint, Teams, or M365), data centre initiatives, and blended infrastructure/application solutions.

 

A service-focused, customer-first mindset is essential, as you will work closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, and public-sector service partners. You excel at leading multiple concurrent projects, navigating shifting priorities, and taking full ownership of your portfolio to deliver high-quality outcomes under tight timelines.

Key responsibilities in this role include:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, deliverables, resource needs, and timelines
  • Lead project kickoff sessions, clearly communicating expectations and success criteria to stakeholders
  • Coordinate resources, tasks, and activities to ensure the successful and timely delivery of all project components
  • Monitor progress and proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies that may impact outcomes
  • Apply project management best practices, standards, and methodologies to drive efficiency and consistency
  • Serve as the primary communication point for stakeholders, providing regular updates on milestones, risks, and project health
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, vendors, and service partners to ensure alignment and collaboration
  • Respond to stakeholder feedback and concerns, ensuring timely resolution and high levels of satisfaction
  • Allocate and manage resources effectively to maximize productivity throughout the project lifecycle
  • Work closely with department leaders to assign tasks, balance workloads, and resolve resource constraints
  • Track and manage project budgets, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and improved financial performance

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Either a bachelor’s degree or diploma in computer science, engineering or business with a technology focus plus considerable related experience
  • 8+ years experience in leading technology projects of varying size and complexity
  • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute, or similar organization considered a definite asset
  • Certificate in ITIL or similar service delivery framework preferred

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

As a condition of employment at E-Comm, the required Police Security Clearance applicable to the position must be acquired and maintained. This is a process carried out by our law enforcement partner agencies, facilitated by E-Comm.  The minimum residency in Canada to qualify for this position, as established by our law enforcement partner agencies, is 3 years.

Vaccination Policy: E-Comm 911 has a vaccination policy that is currently suspended. However, should the policy be reinstated, it will be a requirement for all current and future employees.
