We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Technology Project Manager to join our growing team.  In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing technology projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all deliverables are met within scope, budget, and timeline. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing complex technology projects.

 

Reporting to the Manager, Technology Services PMO, you will be responsible for the successful completion of technology projects on time, on budget and with high quality.

 

A service and customer-first mindset is essential in this role, as you will be working closely with both internal and external stakeholders and public sector service partners.  The ability to lead multiple concurrent projects of varying complexity will be critical to your success.  We are looking for a self-starter who takes ownership of their portfolio and sees projects through to completion on tight deadlines. 

Key responsibilities in this role include:

  • Developing detailed project plans outlining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resources required
  • Leading project kickoff meetings, establishing clear project goals and expectations with stakeholders
  • Coordinating resources, tasks, and activities to ensure timely and successful project delivery
  • Monitoring project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or risks that may impact timelines or budget
  • Implementing project management best practices and methodologies to optimize efficiency and quality
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and risks
  • Fostering positive relationships with internal teams, external vendors, and clients to facilitate collaboration and alignment
  • Proactively address stakeholder concerns or feedback, seeking resolution and maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Allocating resources effectively to ensure optimal utilization and productivity throughout the project lifecycle
  • Coordinating with department managers to assign tasks, manage workloads, and resolve resource conflicts
  • Monitoring and tracking resource expenditures against budget, identifying opportunities for optimization or cost savings

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Either a bachelor’s degree or diploma in computer science, engineering or business with a technology focus plus considerable related experience; or a combination of education and relevant experience
  • 8+ years experience in leading technology projects of varying size and complexity
  • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute, or similar organization considered a definite asset
  • Certificate in ITIL or similar service delivery framework preferred

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

As a condition of employment at E-Comm, the required Police Security Clearance applicable to the position must be acquired and maintained. This is a process carried out by our law enforcement partner agencies, facilitated by E-Comm.  The minimum residency in Canada to qualify for this position, as established by our law enforcement partner agencies, is 3 years.

 

To qualify for this process, a candidate may be either a Canadian Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizen. We regret any candidates under Student, Visitor, or Work Visas are not eligible for consideration.

Vaccination Policy: E-Comm 911 has a vaccination policy that is currently suspended. However, should the policy be reinstated, it will be a requirement for all current and future employees.

  • Wage/Salary:  $125,000 - $140,000 depending on experience
